ALP at a glance
According to Tobacco Insider, ALP launched in November 2024 as a 50/50 joint venture between the Tucker Carlson Network and Turning Point Brands (the company behind FRE), and went on general sale in December 2024. The official site names the maker as ALP Supply Co. LLC of Miami, Florida.
The brand's pitch is moisture. Its marketing calls the pouches moist and compares them with drier pouches, and Tobacco Insider reports that the brand has positioned itself directly against ZYN. Cans hold 20 pouches.
Strengths
ALP's site lists four strengths: 3, 6, 9 and 12 mg, which earns an 8/10 on strength range. At launch, according to Tobacco Insider, the range was 3, 6 and 9 mg, so 12 mg is a later addition. ALP has grown from four launch flavors to 15, according to its official site:
- Core (7): Mountain Wintergreen, Chilled Mint, Spearmint, Refreshing Chill, Tropical Fruit, Sweet Nectar, Classic (unflavored)
- Drifters (5): Island Peach, Watermelon Kiwi Ice, Blueberry Lemonade Ice, Mango Freeze, Lemon Raspberry
- Frontier Collection (3): Cowboy Coffee, Campfire Cinnamon, Sunset Mango
That is the largest flavor list of any brand we rank, and it earns a 10/10 on flavor range. The Drifters and Frontier lines add fruit, coffee and cinnamon options that the core range lacks.

At about 26 cents per pouch, ALP costs more than on!, Rogue and VELO Plus, and slightly less per pouch than classic ZYN. That gives it a 7/10 on value. Tobacco Insider also notes that more moisture can mean a pouch that doesn't last as long.
FDA status
ALP is not on FDA's authorized pouch list as of August 21, 2026. In September 2025, Vaping360 reported that FDA's pouch pilot program would fast-track applications from Turning Point Brands for FRE and ALP, along with ZYN Ultra, on! and VELO mini. So far, ZYN Ultra and on! have received decisions from that pilot. ALP has not.

Who ALP suits, and who should skip it
- Consider ALP if you're an adult nicotine user who wants a moist pouch and lots of flavor choice, including coffee, cinnamon and fruit options from the Frontier and Drifters lines.
- Skip ALP if FDA authorization is your priority (choose ZYN or on!), if you want the lowest price per pouch (choose on! or Rogue), or if you want 15 mg (only FRE and Rogue Max offer that).
What we couldn't verify
- Which Drifters and Frontier flavors come in which strengths. The official site lists the flavors and the four strengths, but we couldn't confirm every combination.
- Whether ALP uses synthetic nicotine. Nicokick describes ALP as "100% tobacco-free synthetic nicotine," but our other sources didn't address it, so we note it here as the retailer's description.
- Any timeline for an FDA decision on ALP's application.
Verdict
ALP is the pick if flavor variety in a moist pouch matters most. No other brand we rank lists 15 flavors. It sits at #5 because it costs more than the budget leaders and, like VELO and FRE, is still waiting on FDA. If you want the same parent company with higher strengths, look at FRE.
