Lucy Breakers are #2 in Pouchrated's editors' order, with a method score of 5.5/10. They're tobacco-free nicotine pouches with a small capsule inside that you bite to release a burst of flavor, in 6 flavors and 4 or 8 mg, 15 per can. A 4 mg variety 6-pack costs $42.95 on Lucy's site, about 48 cents a pouch, which is the main reason the score is modest.
21+ only. WARNING: This product contains nicotine. Nicotine is an addictive chemical. Breakers are not FDA-approved to help anyone quit smoking. If you don't use nicotine, don't start.
This review uses Lucy's website and help center, Prilla's listing and third-party regulatory trackers as of September 28, 2026. We did not buy or use Breakers.
Breakers at a glance
Lucy's Breakers page describes a tobacco-free pouch with a "tiny jewel-like capsule" that you bite ("bite n' break"), and says the capsules are "Japanese-engineered." Breakers come from Lucy Goods of Las Vegas, the maker of Lucy Pouches, and are sold in the same store. No other brand we rank uses a capsule.
Prilla, a retailer, says Breakers are manufactured in Sweden. Lucy doesn't say where they're made, so treat that as unconfirmed.
Strengths
Lucy's collection page and Prilla both list 4 mg and 8 mg. The Breakers product page also lists 12 mg, but because the other two sources don't, we count two confirmed levels, for a 6/10 on strength range. If Lucy confirms a 12 mg Breaker, the score would rise. For higher strengths, see strongest nicotine pouches; for lower ones, our beginner picks.
Flavors
Breakers come in 6 flavors: Mint, Apple Ice, Mango, Berry Citrus, Espresso and Apple Cider, plus an All Flavors variety pack. That earns a 6/10 on flavor range, the same as Lucy Pouches. Berry Citrus and Apple Cider are Breakers-only flavors.
Price and value
| Item | Price | Pouches | Per pouch |
|---|---|---|---|
| 4 mg Variety 6-pack, lucy.co | $42.95 | 90 | ~$0.48 |
| 8 mg Berry Citrus 5-pack, lucy.co | $34.95 | 75 | ~$0.47 |
We couldn't confirm a current Nicokick single-can price for Breakers on September 28, so we score Lucy's direct price: $42.95 ÷ 6 cans ≈ $7.16 a can, ÷ 15 ≈ $0.48 a pouch. That's in our lowest band ($0.32 or more), for a 5/10 on value. (Our earlier check found Lucy cans at $5.29 on Nicokick; $5.29 ÷ 15 ≈ $0.35 would also score 5.) At direct prices, Breakers cost more per pouch than any other nicotine pouch brand on our list. Lucy's 10% Subscribe & Save discount and free economy shipping over $80 apply store-wide, per Lucy.
Shipping, returns and age checks
Breakers are sold through Lucy's store, so Lucy's policies apply:
- 21+ age verification against public records, per Lucy's help center.
- No shipping to AK, AR, CA, CO, DC, MA, MD, ME, UT or VT, per its shipping policy. Breakers come only in flavors, so the unflavored option Lucy offers some restricted areas for its regular pouches doesn't cover them.
- "30-day free returns" on unused products; Lucy isn't responsible for lost or stolen packages unless you buy package protection.
Lucy's store has a 3.5 rating from 204 reviews on Trustpilot, for the whole store rather than Breakers alone. See our Lucy review for the details.
FDA status
Breakers have no FDA marketing order and aren't on FDA's authorized pouch list. Lucy Goods said in a 2022 press release that it had submitted PMTAs for 42 products, "including its innovative line of capsule pouches." The release doesn't use the name Breakers, and Clean Nicotine Pouch's tracker lists Lucy's applications as pending. We score it 5/10: an application pending outside FDA's pilot program. Pending isn't an authorization, and authorization wouldn't mean safe.
How to use Breakers
Place a pouch between your upper lip and gum. Lucy's design is to bite the pouch to break the capsule when you want more flavor. Don't swallow the pouch, and throw it in the trash afterward. See how to use nicotine pouches.
Where to buy Breakers
Lucy sells Breakers in 5- and 6-packs and on subscription from its own store. Prilla also lists them. See where to buy nicotine pouches online.

The full rubric is on the about page. Our ranking order is set by the editors, and the score comes from the method, so they can differ: several brands below Breakers score higher.
Who Breakers suit, and who should skip them
- Consider Breakers if you're an adult nicotine user who specifically wants a capsule you can bite for extra flavor, in 4 or 8 mg.
- Skip Breakers if price per pouch matters (see Juice Head), you want 12 mg or more (see Lucy Pouches or FRE), or you want the most flavors (see ALP).
What we couldn't verify
- A 12 mg Breaker. It's on Lucy's product page but not on its collection page or at Prilla.
- Where Breakers are made. Prilla says Sweden; Lucy doesn't say.
- Whether "Breakers" is the capsule line named in Lucy's 2022 PMTA release, and where that review stands. The release mentions "capsule pouches" without the product name.
- A single-can price direct from Lucy. We found only 5- and 6-pack prices.
Verdict
Lucy Breakers are the only capsule pouch on our list, and they come from a store with a 21+ public-records age check. They're also the priciest per pouch we track, with two confirmed strengths and no FDA order, so the score is 5.5/10. Pick them for the capsule, not for value.
