Sesh+ beats Lucy on our scoring, 6.5 to 5.8, because it puts 20 pouches in a can at a lower price per pouch and its PMTA has reached FDA's scientific review. Lucy is the pick for adults who specifically want the Breakers flavor capsule or a 12 mg slim pouch. Both are independent brands with 6 flavors, and neither has an FDA marketing order.

21+ only. WARNING: This product contains nicotine. Nicotine is an addictive chemical. Neither Lucy nor Sesh+ is FDA-approved to help anyone quit smoking.

This comparison uses both brands' websites and press releases, Nicokick listings and FDA records as of September 25, 2026. We did not buy or use either product.

Two different pouch designs

Sesh+ describes "moisture-enhanced pouches with MCT oil" and "a chewable gum-based material for extra nicotine release whenever you decide," and says the pouch technology is patented (Sesh press release). That's different from most pouches, which aren't meant to be chewed, so follow the directions on the can.

Lucy sells regular slim pouches and Breakers, which contain a liquid-filled flavor capsule you pop. According to Nicokick, Lucy uses "100% tobacco-free synthetic nicotine." Lucy also sells nicotine gum, which we don't rate.

Flavors: a tie

Both brands list 6 flavors on their official sites and both score 6/10 on flavor range.

  • Sesh+: Mint, Wintergreen, Clear (unflavored), Mango, Raspberry Lemon, Cappuccino
  • Lucy: includes Espresso, Mango, Berry Citrus, Mint and Wintergreen; Nicokick also lists Apple Ice, Cinnamon and Apple Cider Breakers, which we couldn't match to the official list

Strength: Lucy goes higher

Both start at 4 mg. Sesh+ adds 6 and 8 mg; Lucy adds 8 and 12 mg in its regular pouch, while Breakers stop at 8 mg. Each has three levels, so both score 7/10 on strength range. Lucy's 12 mg is for experienced adults only; more mg means more nicotine, and nicotine is addictive.

Price and value: Sesh+ wins

5-pack, official site$29.95 (~$0.30/pouch)from $26.95 (~$0.36/pouch)

Sesh+ scores 8/10 on value and Lucy 5/10. Lucy's site offers free shipping over $80 and a 10% subscriber discount; Sesh says its refill bags bring the price to about $0.25 per pouch.

FDA status: Sesh+ is further along

Neither brand is on FDA's authorized list. On March 23, 2026, Sesh announced that its bundled PMTA covering 64 products had advanced to FDA's substantive scientific review. For Lucy, the only source we found is Clean Nicotine Pouch's tracker, which lists its PMTA as under FDA review. Neither was in FDA's 2025 pilot program, so both score 5/10 on regulatory standing under our rubric.

Where to buy each

Both brands sell direct. Sesh sells 5-packs at $29.95 and refill bags on its own site, and runs its own affiliate program. Lucy sells 5-packs from $26.95 and subscriptions on lucy.co. Both are also listed at Nicokick, where single cans are the cheapest way to try one flavor before buying a multi-pack. Whichever store you use, expect to confirm you're 21+. What we couldn't verify

  • Lucy's exact current flavor list, since Nicokick shows flavors we didn't see on the official site.
  • Lucy's PMTA stage, which comes from a third-party tracker rather than Lucy or FDA.
  • Which of Sesh's 64 PMTA products match the flavors and strengths on sale today.
